At the present time the Belwood Group is in the Oram/Skillman area.  Anyone with information about a vacant space that could accomodate an AA group please let us know.  Call the office and we will pass any information on to the group.  214-887-6699.    Thanks!

December Office News
Monday, 30 November 2009

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  The holiday festivities will continue through this month with many groups open for holiday dinners and all day meetings.  If your group is having special events during the month of December please send in the information so we can post it on the website.  If you are new to AA or to Dallas, there will be plenty of places to find fellowship and sober fun throughout the holidays.

December 10th will be our next Intergroup Meeting.  Anyone interested in how the Intergroup works is welcome.  This meeting is our DESSERT meeting so there will be plenty to eat!  Our newest Board members will be there for their first official meeting and our members rotating off will be there for their final official meeting.  Those Board Members that will continue for their second year will be there as well.  It is an excellent meeting to see the Intergroup Meeting in action.

The Central Office Holiday and Volunteer Appreciate Party will take place Friday, December 18th from noon through 6pm.  There will be plenty of food and fellowship.  Our Volunteers will be recognized and get their yearly presents.  Feel free to come and stay all day or as long as you can.  Laughing

December 19th, our open Saturday, will be tax free day, so come prepared to shop!!

The office will close noon Thursday, December 24th.   We will be closed all day Friday, December 25th.

The office will be closed for inventory December 28th, all day.  Please plan around this day for any group or personal purchases.  We will reopen Tuesday, December 29th as usual.

We will close at noon December 31st, and we will be closed all day Jan. 1, 2010.

If you have any questions please contact the office.

Newsflash

The September 2010 Book of the Month will be:  Voices of Long-Term Sobriety, Old-Timers' Stories from the AA Grapevine. This is one of Grapevine's recent publications and a very good one.  The collection of 42 stories from long time AA members tell how they hit bottom and got sober, as well as vivid descriptions of the early days of AA.  One section, titled, "Living History" is a wonderful selection of "the old days".  Usually $10, thru September the book will be 50% off to individual members.  A great buy for $5!!
